This project stared as final credit for a Communication semester at The University of Texas at El Paso, and the topic of research at hand was power dynamics along the U.S.-Mexico border, my chosen field was located in Ciudad Juárez, and more specifically a “forcefully gated community” once logged at the municipal land registry offices with the nomenclature of Lomas del Poleo. Initially, all communication with interviewees was logged on the student’s e-mail account. Upon graduation, the same Microsoft-based software, but with a different tail end (@hotmail…) was kept. This is not a commercial, this is a test to see just how much the MS part of the NBC tail end is going to be turning down the volume. In other news…

Mañana martes será la contienda por delegados en el estado de Arizona, en Idaho, en Utah, y en la parte americana de Samoa. Según las noticias que van llegando desde el otro lado del Atlántico, la violencia por el factor Trump sigue escalando.

En cuanto a el Desierto de Arizona, hay que recordar que fue específicamente por allí en ese lugar, por donde la primera barda fronteriza canalizó el flujo de migrantes en busca de trabajo hacía los Estados Unidos Americanos. Cualquier coincidencia con los miles de exiliados del continente africano —por mar hacía Europa— es pura coincidencia.

En su momento, uno de los miembros de la Cámara de Representantes de los EE.UU. y ex jefe de la Patrulla Fronteriza de El Paso, Silvestre Reyes (Democrata) criticó el levantamiento de esa valla… cosa curiosa, en el trayecto más peligroso las obras de construcción quedaron abiertas, o con un minino de protección.
